Read & Write Project - Spreading Knowledge & Confidence in Pakistan

Scent Salim team are giving back as part of their social responsibility globally. From Bright Future Education in Leeds to schools across Pakistan. The Read & Write Project is supporting young children in Pakistan (ages 5–12) to build confidence in reading and writing, whilst having all the stationary required.

Why This Project Matters

Many children across Pakistan have incredible potential but lack access to the basic tools that help spark a love for learning. Facing economic hardship, some families are unable to provide even simple educational items. This creates barriers to confidence, creativity, and future opportunities. Our project focuses on small community not-for-profit schools and poorer areas, where even the smallest gesture can create a big shift in a child’s motivation and self-belief.

By giving children the essentials they need to learn with dignity and excitement, we hope to:

• Encourage early literacy

• Boost children’s confidence

• Support teachers and families

What We’re Preparing: 200+ Educational Gift Bags

Already our team has prepared and distributed over 200 educational gift bags filled with thoughtful items chosen by children from the UK specifically for young learners. Each bag will include:

• ✏️ Pens & pencils

• 📘 A small dictionary

• 📚 A children’s Seerah book

• 📝 A writing pad

• 🔢 A calculator

• 🍬 A small sweet treat

• 💛 A Scent Salim card with the heartfelt message

  
  

These items may seem simple, but to a child eager to learn, they represent opportunity, encouragement, and care from people who believe in them.

A Message from Our Family

Growing up, our parents taught us the value of education, gratitude and giving back and with their roots from Karachi, Pakistan, we decided to send our teams there. This project is a reflection of those values rooted in compassion and guided by the belief that every child deserves the chance to write their own story. We hope that this initiative inspires others to support education, empower young minds and continue spreading kindness wherever possible.

Looking Ahead

The Read & Write Project is only the beginning.
