Since 2015, our team has been committed to supporting vulnerable children and families in The Gambia through a range of community projects, working with other charities and partners that focus on dignity, education and nourishment.

A commitment to children’s futures
Across several orphanages and community‑run schools, many young children face daily challenges, from limited access to learning materials to food insecurity at home. Over the past decade, we have been humbled to play a small role in supporting these children by providing essential items that help ease pressure on families and create brighter opportunities for the future.
Food parcels that bring comfort and hope
Every year since 2015, our team has prepared and distributed food parcels to families facing hardship. These parcels include staple items such as rice, oil, sugar and dates — simple essentials that help families get through difficult periods and ensure children have something nutritious to eat.
Community leaders often tell us how these parcels relieve stress for caregivers and bring a sense of reassurance that they are not alone.
Supporting schools and orphanages with love
Alongside food support, we have worked closely with local orphanages and small community schools, providing:
Building supplies, paint and flooring for the facilities
Educational resources, school supplies
Small gifts to bring joy to the children
Food parcels
Each visit reminds us of the resilience, warmth and incredible determination of the children and staff we meet. Their gratitude inspires us to continue our efforts year after year.
Looking ahead
As we approach nearly a decade of this work, our commitment remains as strong as ever. We hope to continue supporting more families, more schools and more children across The Gambia and we hope to partner with more charities and initiatives locally and globally that support and care for families, children and young people and help them achieve.
